Here are some shots of the Dedication/Father's Day Celebration we had at Open Door last Sunday. It was a special day for us all. What a blessing to have Papa Marshall dedicate two grandchildren and six other children in the church!

Hey guys,

It's me: your trusted source for all things Marshall and some things not. I thought perhaps I would post here and pass the link along. I think those on the mission field have better internet access these days. So, I'm going to try this route. If you want to join me on the journey, please give me a shout-out as they say.

Dad & Mom

These road warriors made it to the City yesterday. Dad had been feverishly working on the new addition to the lodge at Camp Wildwood the day before and then he went back to Mt Heritage to mow for a few hours. He sure looked like the sun had given him a licking: a true redneck! He preached last night for the graduation here and did a fine job. As far as I can tell, Mom seems to be doing well. She is on two medications but the doctor who did her echocardiagram said that if she did her homework she could wean herself off eventually to a more natural approach. We'll keep her praying for her, won't we?

Montoros

Last night the Montoros put on a graduation celebration for Sarah and Andrew. Can you believe it? These two did a great job finishing school this year. Sarah was working part time and studying alongside of that. Both of them gave a speech and did a solo on their respective instruments and made it through without any major catastrophies. We're proud of them and know that the Lord has great things in store for them.

Pete has been working long and hard on getting a small storage area built in the back of the church. It will be a big blessing to have a little more space to throw junk out of sight. Julia is adjusting to life with a newborn and it's been a little tough with little Joey. He's growing fast and will soon be sitting up to the table enjoying the spaghetti feast with the rest.

Peter is home from college and back to his job at a medical warehouse. He has to travel to Manhattan and Brooklyn to get to work in Queens: go figure! He has opportunities to witness on the train though and he's enjoying that after living in the hothouse for awhile.

Machs

I cannot imagine what the Machs have been experiencing: 117 degree weather! That's amazing. These guys are entitled to some serious water balloon fights. They are hoping to spend some time renovating the house as their efforts have been focused on the various ministries and trying to keep up with it all. Please keep their church construction project in prayer as things are tight financially with the value of the dollar decreasing. I believe the kids should soon be done with school if they haven't finished up already. Applause is in order!

Martins

Jenn reported that their family and a group from the church were headed to Juarez, Mexico for a missions trip. They were taking along some girls Jenn has been working with so they were excited to see what the Lord might do in their lives. The girls finished up with school, Jenn had her annual piano recital and the ladies' day went well at the church. Positive news from the Panhandle.

Wells

I spoke with Deborah this past week and they have finally landed on the shores of Amerikay. They left on the 28th of May and spent 5 days in Port Moresby hoping to take care of a couple medical needs. In the end, neither of these appointments were workable so they ended up ministering in a special meeting at a church there. Of all people, Bro. Eric Capaci was preaching! Small world. They arrived this past Tuesday in Boise and are now trying to get adjusted to the USA again. Lots of things to do and lots of changes to absorb, so do pray for them.

Monsours

We're OK here, no earth-shattering news to report. We've been trying to help ease the burden at church and keep moving forward. Ted's job is still a roller coaster but we haven't moved into our mini-van..... yet. We are looking forward to a little R and R next month as we head upstate for Fourth of July and then meet the family later in WV for a bit.

J Marshalls

Dad just spent some time with Jon and co. helping them plant their very own garden. I'm sure the boys will be having fun this summer as they learn about weeds and things. Jon is bringing his college and career group here to NYC next month for a missions-type trip. It will be great to get some of these crazy cousins together. Can't imagine the mischief all of these young boys will get into! (I'm sure Teddy will be in the middle of it, too.)

M Marshalls

Matt & Julie will be headed to youth camp in Kentucky once again. They will also be putting on another VBS in Wisconsin. I think Matt has been working for the Obama campain (typo intentional) on the side, right? Nah, that must be a rumor.

J, J & M Marshalls

And the trio, last, but definitely not least! I think most of you have heard through the grapevine or right from the source about Joanna's latest adventures. Seriously, please pray for her right now. She's making decisions and needs God's wisdom on all fronts.

Jess and Mon continue forward working on their pursuits. They are sending out a new catalog for the CD ministry and it's looking sharp. Jess recently had a visit from a fella but nothing came of that: a mutual agreement I'm told. Monica insists that she is not ready for a commitment at this time. Smart young ladies, these are.

Guess you've had about all you can take. I will keep you updated on any developments. Everyone has questions about the Wells' plans, so we'll try to give you any info we hear in that venue.
